Expanded Learning Program

The Expanded Learning Program (ELP) at Barack Obama Charter School (BOCS) strives to provide a program that is caring to the individual needs of children, and age-appropriate learning experiences that help each child progress to their fullest potential.

Program hours:
M, T, Th, F - 3:00-6:00pm
W (Minimum Day) - 12:30-6:00pm

While in the program students will experience:
• Healthy snack
• Homework help
• Fun group games where honesty and fair play are reinforced
• Field trips
• Physical activity
• New projects that let them explore their creativity
• The company of friends
 
The program also offers a wide variety of enrichment activities, based on student needs and interests. Examples of such activities may include, but are not limited to:
• Intervention Activities
• Life Skills
• Crafts
• Group Recreational Games
• Visual and Performing Arts
• Character Education
• Clubs (special interest)
